Iron sulfate

Phosphorus precipitation and environmental control without chloride load

Iron sulfate is a widely used coagulant in Danish wastewater treatment and is used for the effective precipitation of phosphorus and other nutrients. When added, iron sulfate reacts with phosphorus and forms solid compounds, which are removed together with the sludge.

Ferrous sulfate is often used where low chloride load and stable pH are required.
